Background: Mathias is one fourth vampire. His father Kraven was half after his father was cursed with a soul. The boy was born in New York to a father of shady occupation in assassination. He knew of his fathers work but his father's untimely demise was still quite the shock to Mathias at the age of eight.
He wears his father's cross at all times. (For details read Slayer 1998) He was adopted by Cassandra Timmain. He's moved around quite a bit since then but has settled in Glasgow Scottland and has been sent to attend Hogwarts. This being his first public school as to the fact he was home schooled up till this point.
Personality: Mathias keeps to himself mostly and values inner strength beyond all else. The boy is of course looked down upon for having what others have called tainted blood or a curse. Mathias has an acute sense of smell and excellent vision in low-light. Unfortunately during the day Mathias is often blinded from glares of of shiny metal objects.
Likes: Being alone, singing, black, fencing
Dislikes: Crowds, too much sunlight, people who dislike him for his heritage, people who mistake him for a goth
Academic Outlook: School is no big thing for Mathias. He does what he needs to get by and no more. He makes sure to learn as much as he can about spells, seeing as one killed his father. Sadly, he views magic as a weapon more than anything.
Quirks: Mathias values his vampire heritage, despite how diluted his blood actually is. Mathias is clever and is protective of the few friends he has, especially Cassandra though she seems to be able to take care of herself.
Counter Quirks: Mathias is short tempered and frequently getting into fights. The boy does not have very good social skills and often feels threatened when confronted with a group.
Appearance: Mathias's dislike for sunlight has left him rather pale. This is an unusual contrast with his dark hair. Mathias is healthy weight wise but is still working on building muscle and is occasionally found in the gym. Mathias also has pointy, protruding canines, but not fully developed vampire fangs.
