Background: Kitty does not remember her parents as they died in a freak boating accident when she was but a few months old. She knows them only through a few pictures and the stories told by her uncle of his younger sister. They seem like they were very different, Andrea being an impulsive headstrong young woman much like her daughter.
She was raised by her mother's only brother, Ignatius. Her uncle is very short of stature but in reputation he is quite profound. He is a quick tempered irritable little man but for all his gruff words he has a soft spot for Kitty. Children are very fond of him but Ignatius has patience for few but Kitty.
It was an untraditional upbringing. Ignatius can be a bit of a workaholic but he tried to make time for Kitty. Never very experienced with children and the work they required the girl had free reign from a young age and was exposed to a great many things most parents would be horrified by. Kitty got into a great many scrapes in and out of the house, and was always popular with the local children who could not help but adore the vivacious character.
One thing Ignatius has found quite impossible is teaching Kitty magic. Oh he tried, and Kitty is a quick learner but he has decided that she suffers from a lack of a disciplined environment. As such he has concluded that the boarding school environment of Hogwarts is just the thing for his unruly niece. Kitty is a bit put out by the prospect but is also excited to be able to explore a place all on her own.
Personality: Kitty is bubbly effervescent and fun. Constantly smiling and elementally good natured she makes friends easily and has a mischievous streak a mile wide. She is not completely innocent, as she is quite able to play the cute act in order to get out of trouble. She is very curious and is constantly sticking her button nose where it doesn't belong. She is very stubborn. She has a short attention span sometimes, when things bore her she cannot sit still.
Likes: The outdoors, climbing, trees, strawberries, pineapples, mud, making things, sketching, sand castles.
Dislikes: Being yelled at, staying inside, swimming (she was never good at it), being forced to read (she'll read for fun), turpentine, brussle sprouts
Academic Outlook: Kitty is clever, she is a bright child and would do well if she applied herself. She is better at subjects that involve doing something with your hands than ones that require her to remember a lot of facts she's had to read or listen to. So she does better at Herbology as opposed to HOM.
Quirks: Kitty attracts dirt which may or may not be a good thing. She can draw reasonably well, better from life than from her head but its all practice really.
Counter Quirks: Listening. Messy.
Appearance: Kitty has brown hair that is very long and very curly, forming an unruly mass that frames her heartshaped face. She has rosy freckled cheeks and cupid's bow of a mouth and big blue eyes as clear as any sapphire. She is an adorably beautiful child a fact that matters to her only because adults tend to be more forgiving of cute children. Kitty is not a neat person and is often covered in mud and dirt or some sort of slime much to the consternation of those who have to clean her clothes. She is about average weight and average height and looks like she still has a bit of 'baby fat' adding to that cherubic look.
