Background: Eleanor is the second child born of Christian and Annabelle Locke. She was born a mere ten months after her brother Martin. Her brother and she have always been very close. When their brother Domenic was adopted they quickly took him under their wings, recognizing even at the ages of 5 and 4 that he wasn't there to replace them but as a baby who needed a family. They are the oldest of their direct cousins and even their aunt was only 12 when they were born. Their family is a large, prominent family that is spread over the globe. The children have 5 aunts and uncles (no greats) on their father's side alone.
Christian works for the Ministry of Magic (British) in the International Division. In plain terms he is a diplomat and that has meant a great deal of travel for the family. Annabelle is an artist and the attractive couple is often in the papers. They have no lack for money, especially with Christian currently at the head of the Locke family.
Eleanor is the only girl, but she was no more spoiled than Martin was. She often had a great deal more than other children she knew but her parents always taught her to be responsible and respectful. She was always friendly and easy going and got along with people wherever they went and witnessing livening conditions where things were much worse for people inspired a deep caring for humanity.
Eleanor has never been to Hogwarts, largely because ever since she was 2 she hasn't spent more than two months at a time in England. Eleanor has gone to whatever school is nearest to where her father is currently posted as Christian doesn't believe in having his children travel so far to go to school, besides, this way they learn more about the world. Eleanor has attended three different schools of magic and last year attended Ekwueme Institution of Magic in South Africa. This year, however, Christian has returned to England and so Martin, who went to Hogwarts last year and Eleanor will be going to the same school.
Personality: Eleanor is independent, intelligent, generally self-possessed and hard working. She is only ten months younger than Martin though some of the time she doesn't seem to be younger at all; she is one of the only people who can boss Martin around with any success. She has a lively sense of humor and a quick wit. She is loyal, upstanding and often stubborn. She is brave in her unwillingness to give up against opposition. She is energetic almost to the point of being tireless which can cause her to over extend herself. She makes friends easily and is generally understanding and tolerant. Abrasive people do bother her though and she has been known to tell people off if they cross the line. She has a tendency to tell people what to do at times but she does always want what is best. She isn't always serious, despite being raised with some responsibility. She obeys the rules but lives outside the box, play acting, teasing and generally playing when it strikes her fancy. She isn't a grown up yet, so she isn't always as confident or as tough as she acts, sometimes she is even shy, but most of the time she is every bit as engaging and indefatigable as her brother, Martin.
Likes: Reading, apple pie, pink, rainbows, her brother, friends, sports, getting good grades, being praised, new clothes, new baubles . . .
Dislikes: Being stuck inside, not seeing the sun, doing poorly in class
Academic Outlook: Eleanor is quite committed to school, more so than her brother is. She likes to get good grades and so works very hard to maintain that.
Quirks: Has a notebook where she writes down everything she wants to remember, it is sort of like a journal and a list combined. She can be a perfectionist at times and gets a bit frazzled during exam season. She blushes easily, an adorable and not always honest trait. She loves games and sport and seems to prefer muggle sport to wizard, despite a pureblood background.
Counter Quirks: She can be a bit bossy/pushy, which puts some people off. Sometimes she goes a bit too far with her play acting, though it usually takes Martin to encourage that side of her. Tends to get injured at times and tries to, work through the pain. Is sometimes overconfident.
Appearance: Nice nose, good symmetrical bone structure. She has a wide pink mouth, a pouting lower lip. It is a mouth that can contort into any number of expressions. She is pretty and cute with a soft, friendly face that is spotted with freckles. She is about 5’6†and athletic with modest attributes, more lithe than curvy. Her eyes are blue with green speckles. Naturally she is a strawberry blond with darker auburn undertones but how often it actually remains that color is debatable. It is naturally straight and reaches to just passed her shoulder blades with layers to frame her face.
