Background: Chiaki was born in a pure-blood family. Her mother, Natsumi Yamada dated Kenta Shimizu and they got married. Two years after they married, the had a pair of twins, Chiaki and Takumi. They were a happy family. Her childhood was a happy one too.
Chiaki grew up fast. She was really smart. Her mother sent them to a normal primary school in Japan. She didn't yet know that she is a witch and her parents didn't divulge it to her. She studied hard and felt that the lesson was bored so she began to study English. After fours years of being in this school, Chiaki learned loads and could speak English and Japanese now. All throughout primary school, Chiaki retained high marks despite her troublemaker persona. Her teachers were constantly in awe of her academic prowess. For several years of her life, everything was picture perfect: a twin brother whom she can share secrets with, an academic gift, and a happy, two-parent family. She was now 10 years old, two more months to her 11th birthday. She began to grow weird. Her emotions showed strongly. Whenever she has a very strong feeling, her eyes would change colour. Not only would her eyes change colour, her hair was beginning to change colour too. She used to have dark black hair but now, her hair had changed into a light brown colour. She didn't know what was going on but she was sure something was up. She noticed the same thing with her brother.
Chiaki realized she was special and wanted to know where it was coming from. As if the answer to her prayers, she received a letter a few years later to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on her 11th birthday. She woke up early but was later than her brother. Her brother greeted her, smiling broadly. He showed her a letter to Hogwarts. Chiaki was very excited. She finally had an answer as to all the weird happenings. Her parents were happy that their children were magical people too. They felt that it would bring diversity to the family and felt that Chiaki and Takumi could go on to bigger and better things than they had achieved. Her parents immediately approved of them going to Hogwarts, thus sending them away to England to study abroad. They were to stay in their grandparents' mansion when term ended. Her grandparents were witch and wizards too. They were also proud that their grandchildren were witch and wizards. Chiaki and her brother went to Diagon Alley with their grandparents. As Chiaki boarded the Hogwarts Express, her grandparents were very excited for her. She was beginning a different life and was going to explore plenty of new things. She was determined to find out how many generations of witch and wizards had run in her family.
Personality: Chiaki is outgoing and gets along pretty well with everyone. She loves to meet new people and discover new things. She has a curiosity which cannot be satisfied. She is always looking for new questions. She is very independent. She doesn't like to ask for help from other people. She likes to find answers on her own. She is a very good thinker and usually has an easy time when figuring things out. Chiaki is very intelligent and usually is top in her classes. She is a quick learner, though at times tends to make things seem more complicated than they really are. She is smart too. She doesn't usually get into trouble as she is very smart. She use her wits to keep her out of trouble. Chiaki doesn't admit defeat easily. She would fight fiercely for what she thinks is correct.
Chiaki is very impatient. She finds it annoying and frustrating when she is trying to show or teach someone something and they don't get it right away, maybe because she is a quick learner. She also has a hot temper but she cools down fast and is able to forget about it fast too.
Likes: Writing, reading, dueling
Dislikes: People who are ignorant and liars and chocolate. Other than that, she's pretty chill with everything.
Academic Outlook: Chiaki is a quick learner and is very hardworking. Her favourite subject is Astronomy. Her least favourite subject is Divination as she doesn't like anything regarding fortune telling
Quirks: Chiaki is very good in Quidditch. She takes after her father, who played as chaser and was quidditch captain before. She is also good in Defence Against the Dark Arts although it isn't her favourite subject. She had been taught to loathe the dark arts since young.
Counter Quirks: Chiaki is bad in Herbology. She has no patience to take care of plants and has clumsy hands. She is allergic to milk (and dislikes it)
Appearance: Chiaki is tall for her age. She is 155cm and has average weight, 45kg. She has a sturdy build, due to experience with all kinds of sports, including Quidditch. She has light brown, long, straight hair and usually doesn't tie her hair up. Her eye colour varies according to her emotion but usually her eyes are found to be bluish. She usually is in her school robes. If she isn't in school, she will wear jeans and t-shirt. She has pale skin although she is quite an athlete. Maybe it's another weird thing due to her magical ability. She has uses glasses sometimes.
