Background: Cedric tries very hard to be the opposite of his evil father, David Potter. A witness to the murder of his mother at the hands of David, Cedric was sent first to an orphanage. After a complicated "window shattering" incident when he was 11, Cedric was sent to live with his hockey coach, Paul Kavanaugh, to keep him away from the wizarding world. There he excelled at the muggle sport of hockey; a sport his mother had gotten him involved in to keep him away from magic. He was sent to Hogwarts by the Ministry of Magic after it was discovered that David Potter had been released from St. Mungos after claiming he was brainwashed into killing his wife. Potter Sr. is now a Death Eater. Cedric has since been officially been adopted by Paul and his wife Cindy.
Personality: Loyal, intelligent, hard-working, intuitive, team-player, honest, sensitive, quiet, reserved and can be a bit pensive at times. He isn't very outward, but when he does get to know people, he loosens up. He is also known to be stubborn.
Likes: Hockey, sports, music, books, classic black-and-white films, video games, skating,
Dislikes: Megalomaniacs, dishonesty, bullies, evil, and cruelty.
Academic Outlook: Cedric has shown remarkable progress in his ability to control magic. His father, David Potter, was a natural and Cedric shows the same amount of ability and talent--if not more, but he still needs to work on controlling his emotions; especially his anger...but he has made some progress in that. His only weak subjects are Potions and Herbology, but even those have shown remarkable progress this year. An avid reader, he can usually be found with a book in his back pocket for times of bordem.
Quirks: A very talented hockey player, Cedric has led his team to several Inner-City Ice Hockey Championships. Cedric is more like his father than he would like to admit to; inheriting his father's ability in Free Magic and Shadow Magic; a commonly known talent of dark wizards.
Counter Quirks: As a witness of his father's abuse towards his mother, Cedric can't stand to see others get pushed around and will sometimes step in before thinking. He is rather curious at times and sometimes will have an undeniable need to follow it...which could lead him into trouble.
Appearance: Cedric resembles his father greatly, except he has his mothers smile. Dark, messy hair, dark eyes. When Cedric is upset, or angry his eyes change to a blueish-grey like the stormy sea and the grey makes a swirl--much like looking at the eye of a hurricane seen from far above the earth. This also happens when he enters the Shadow Realm.
Height - 5'11" Weight - 180 lbs, athletic build. Some might consider him "ruggedly handsome," perhaps from the scar on his chin...we'll let you be the judge of that.
