Background: Charon Alikakos is the Prince without lands or any real function-besides, dear old dad is still alive and kicking. Basically it translates into money. The Alikakos family moved to Athens about ten years ago after Ebony expressed an interest in having a winter home there. Charon was never one to deny his wife anything, so he bought a flat there. They still retain a house in a less touristy area of Greece. Charon farms olives, or rather; he pays other people to farm them and supervises when he can. His other occupations are mainly financial, as he likes to play with
his money and make it grow. He travels a great deal and has many investments around the world.
Ebony and Charon have two children. The oldest is Evadne; a little Princess in her own right and the youngest is Alexander. Ebony has another child, Bryan, by another man. Older than the other two by about thirteen years, he has long since graduated and gone on to other things. Eva and Alex grew up lacking for nothing; in fact they had a good deal more than a child really needs. Somewhat starved for affection from their own parents, Ebony and Charon are rather indulgent of their children. These are children who regularly got whatever they wanted.
They have traveled a great deal, most frequently trips to England to visit the Damodred family. The Damodreds-Kieran, Ketara and Kyros-are the children of one of Ebony and Charon's best friends and the relationship has remained close. They did like England and the Damodred children, so the were somewhat disappointed when sent to Durmstrang. Some recent disappointments in the governors there caused Ebony to pull her two youngest out of the school and to send them to Hogwarts instead.
Evadne will be entering her fifth year next term and Alex his fourth.
Personality: Alex isn't one to get angry usually, in fact he rarely takes much offence to anything. He likes to watch people, to observe what makes them tick, it was something his father taught him. If you understand a person, you can manipulate them. He has a few sensitive spots and can be very offensive. He is confident and even charming when he puts his mind to it. He is a bit spoiled, so he has a high opinion of himself and so doesn't hesitate about putting other people down-if it serves his own interests. He is not naturally cruel though (and this is his own definition of the word, mind) and will not go out of his way just to make people feel bad. More likely, if he doesn't like you, he'll pretend you aren't even there. He does, however, like to come out on top but since when does that make a
person bad? It really is about himself, but he does like other people. A bit of selfishness, that's all.
Likes: Greek food, spicy foods, artistic pursuits, books, his sister and friends, mystery, interesting classes, places with people in them.
Dislikes: Annoyingly brainless people, being interrupted and/or ignored, not getting his way
Academic Outlook: Has a rather careless attitude towards school. He wants to do well, to please his parents, but he isn't about to break his back about it.
Quirks: Alex is eerily quiet sometimes, but he is very good at expressing himself with just a look. He insults with few and/or careful words and tends to let himself be dominated by powerful females-as long as it suits him. He does know how to get his way though, and can be very determined when he wants.
Counter Quirks: He is a bit lazy, he doesn't like to be wrong, he doesn't get worked up about things too often (this can be bad . . . not always though . . . hard to say really)
Appearance: Dark brown curly hair cut short, brown eyes, strong jaw, nice nose, medium skin (combination of a swarthy Greek father and pale Irish mum) with a few freckles. He is a good looking boy, though his face still has a
bit of boyish softness to it-it is likely to disappear as he gets older. He is about 5'9" now and growing, he is likely to be quite tall like his father.
