Background: The Carowen family had always been fairly wealthy, his father John worked at the Ministry of Magic in some high ranking position, as did his father and his father before him. Alex figured this would be his fate also, though he did not place much concern into his future. Alex's mom Margaret worked for the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau. This meant that his parents were rarely home. Alex's sister Rebecca was often home with him and the two were good friends.
Personality: He is antisocial and almost shy. Alex is often seen as being cold to most but seen as kind to the few he knows personally.
Likes: Playing guitar, reading, quidditch, music, and dueling
Dislikes: Crowds, obnoxious people, swimming/getting wet, and hot weather
Academic Outlook: Alex does fairly well in all of his classes and does his homework. He does not tend to be terribly devoted to any subject in particular and seems to think of his learning as a chance to further his abilities.
Quirks: Alex is a talented musician and is protective of his family, sometimes overprotective. He also has a knack for magic and has mastered most of the simple spells
Counter Quirks: Alex is antisocial and will not usually converse with those he does not like instantly, this makes him poor at handling situations in which he has to deal with a large number of people. (public speaking etc...)
Appearance: Alex is fair skinned with brown hair that reaches his shoulders. He has green eyes and is about 5'8. He has an athletic build and is almost always in his Hogwarts robes.
